2020 was a year full of ups and downs. Sadly, COVID-19 delayed most of our favourite sporting including the Masters tournament. When Asher got news that Golf was coming back including the remaining Major tournaments of the year, they knew they had to do something special. Together with GOLF.com Asher set out to create something truly special. The team came up with the GOLF x ASHER Limited Edition 2020 Box. This box includes three custom, premium ASHER gloves including the ‘Yes Sir’ glove featuring Jack’s signature pose from the 1986 Masters. Asher set out to memorialise Jack’s 1986 historic triumph at the Masters over Tom Kite and Greg Norman and we believe they did just that with this glove. However, they never excepted what came next to happen.
The Ceremonial Tee Shot is a tradition unlike any other. The shot officially kicks off the tournament every year. Before the rain and weather delayed, Jack did something truly special. With his wife Barbara on the bag and wearing a special version of the ‘Yes Sir’ glove, Jack Nicklaus hit the ceremonial tee shot to open up the 2020 Masters. With that swing, the glove was cemented into history.
